Programs
The Memorial has two programs: The Chief Chris Adams Memorial Education Assistance Program and The Chief Chris Adams Memorial Family Assistance Program
The Chief Chris Adams Memorial Education Assistance Program:
- Short Range Goals:
- Provide monetary scholarships to students pursuing a career in Fire Sciences to include Fire Fighter Certification classes in the State of Florida.
- Long Range Goals:
- Expand the monetary scholarships to include all Public Safety Officers pursuing a degree or certification in one of the following career fields to include but not limited to: Police Officer, EMT, Fire Sciences and Forestry Division
Applications will be accepted from any graduate of an accredited High School or Private School who has applied and has been accepted by an accredited Community College, College, University or Public Safety Officer Certification School. Application form attached.
The Chief Chris Adams Memorial Family Assistance Program:
- Short Range Goals:
- Provide immediate financial relief to families of Active Duty Fallen Firefighters to defray unexpected funeral expenses.
- Long Range Goals:
- Expand the financial relief program to include all Public Safety Officers families from one of the following career fields to include but not limited to: Police Officer, EMT, Fire Sciences and Forestry Division.
Applications for assistance will be accepted from any legally designated immediate family member or legally chartered Firefighter Association or Organization acting on behalf of a Fallen Firefighter who becomes deceased while serving on Active Duty in the State of Florida. Application form attached.
